Youths torch Ajmer fuel station over Rs 500 dispute, four arrested

In Ajmer, a group of youths set a petrol pump ablaze after a dispute over online payment. The swift action of the staff averted a major disaster, as 50,000 litres of fuel were present. The accused also assaulted a salesman, robbing him of cash and a gold chain. Police arrested all six suspects involved.

AJMER: A group of youths on Wednesday night set a petrol pump on fire over an online payment dispute after filling fuel in their vehicle at Lohagal under the Christian Ganj police station in Ajmer.
However, the fuel station staff managed to control the fire within 35 seconds, preventing a major disaster.
At the time of incident, the station had 50,000 litre of petrol and diesel. The accused also assaulted a salesman and looted cash, gold chain from him.
Station in-charge Arvind Charan reported that the crime was committed late at night on Lohagal Road. The gas station belongs to Abhimanyu Singh, son of former deputy mayor of Ajmer, Ajit Singh.
A case was filed against Devaraj, Deepak alias Dipu, Devkaran Fauji, Dev, Pradeep Soni and Khushiram Fauji, all of who were subsequently arrested.
