A moderate earthquake, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, jolted Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district on Sunday morning. The tremor, striking near Mandi town at a depth of 5 km, occurred at 9:18 am. While the region falls under a high-damage risk seismic zone, initial reports indicate no immediate loss of life or property. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation.

NEW DELHI: A moderate earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district on Sunday at 9:18 am, with no reported casualties or property damage.The earthquake's epicenter was located at 31.49 degree latitude and 76.94 degree longitude in the Mandi region, with a depth of 5 kilometers, according to the Met office.
Officials confirmed that no loss of life or property has been reported from any part of the state following the seismic activity.The affected area, Mandi district, is situated in seismic zone 5, which is classified as a high-damage risk zone.
