“The people of Gujarat want change. The Congress party will work together with all sections of society to remove the BJP from power. We will contest the assembly election as Team Congress,” Thakor said on Monday afternoon.
Thakor said more than 50 lakh youth in the state are unemployed even as the state government has been implementing the contract system of appointments. He added that the party will raise the issue of rising prices across the state in the coming days.
The new LOP, Sukhram Rathwa, said the party will raise the issues of farmers both in the assembly and on the streets. “The Union government spoke of doubling the income of farmers, but their income has halved because of the BJP’s policies,” he said.
