Teacher held for molestation

AHMEDABAD: A secondary school teacher was arrested on Monday by Naroda police officials after several complaints of molestation against him filed by parents of girl students.
Police identified the accused as Navin Patel, 31, who teaches maths and science in class VIII to X at Krishna Vidyalaya in Nava Naroda area. Patel was arrested after parent of a girl student in class VIII approached school principal Rahul Patel with a complaint of molestation against him.Patel alleged that Navin had molested his daughter.
As the news about this spread, several other parents of the girl students also approached the school administration with similar complaints. "The school authorities investigated the matter suspended Navin on Saturday. Later, police complaint was filed, leading to his arrest," said a Naroda police official.
