Special centres for supplementary exam aspirants in Gujarat
Ahmedabad: After recently announcing Class 10 and 12 results, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is scheduling supplementary examinations in June for students who have failed or are dissatisfied with their marks. For this, the Ahmedabad City district education office will set up special guidance centres to assist students improve their performance.
Officials said the board has introduced the 'best of two’ system, enabling students to enhance their scores by reappearing in selected subjects. Students who have failed in one or more subjects are also eligible to take the supplementary exams. Schools have been instructed to complete the application process for these students on mission mode. To offer academic support, free exam-oriented guidance centres will be set up across various parts of Ahmedabad starting May 18. These centres will function with the support of local schools and experienced teachers. Initially, around 10 schools in the city will accommodate these guidance centres.
