Sexual harassment complaint lodged against three persons

Ahmedabad: A 30-year-old woman, a resident of Chandkheda area of the city, lodged a complaint against three persons — Prakash Gupta, Roshni Gupta and Anuradha Gupta — for allegedly making obscene gestures and attacking her. The complainant stated that whenever she went out of her society Prakash used to make obscene gestures at her. She stated in her complaint that she informed her mother-in-law about the same and on June 3, she had called her family members and decided to go and talk to Prakash about this.She stated that when the family went to talk to Prakash, he did not come out of the house, but Prakash’s sister Roshni and his wife Anuradha came out and started shouting at the family. Roshni and Anuradha allegedly slapped her and even pushed her mother-in-law. The family then lodged a complaint against Prakash, Roshni and Anuradha with the Chandkheda police under the IPC 354 (A) (1) (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 114 (abettor present when offence is committed).
