PM brought global recognition to country with good governance: CM
GANDHINAGAR: CM Bhupendra Patel on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought global recognition to Gujarat and the nation by epitomizing the principles of good governance.
He was addressing an event on Good Governance Day 2023, commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Chief Minister's residence.
During his tenure of more than 20 years, Janakalyan (public welfare) and Sushasan (good governance) have played distinctive roles in establishing the groundwork for the journey of development, he said.
The CM also noted that the Prime Minister has launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to ensure 100% saturation of public welfare schemes, reaching their intended beneficiaries. This yatra aims to deliver services to the beneficiaries at their doorsteps, facilitating effective government interaction with the people.
He emphasized that good governance has been achieved through prompt and efficient delivery of services to the state's residents. The CM also inaugurated the modified website of the CM Office, the updated Swagat Online portal, and two newly introduced parameters on the CM Dashboard.
The newly designed CM Office website has numerous features, including user-friendly navigation, mobile-responsive pages for easy access, seamless sharing of news and press releases, and a photo and video wall for user convenience.
The website now allows viewing of every post made by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on social media. Also, crucial information regarding the state government's significant decisions will be readily available on the home page. During the Good Governance programme, three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were formalized.
These agreements were established between NFSU and the Chief Minister's Public Relations Unit, MNFSU and the CM Dashboard, and the Wadhwani Foundation and the Administrative Unit of the Chief Minister's Office to streamline various administrative processes.
