Panels, documents damaged at Gujarat University exhibition
Ahmedabad: An exhibition held at Gujarat University's Kalam Research Park on Feb 16, organized in collaboration with Bharat Shodh Sansthan and Bharatiya Vichar Manch, saw panels and documents damaged during an incident allegedly involving members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI).In a statement issued by NSUI, the organization said, "The exhibition attempted to present incomplete, selective, and factually incorrect information about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr BR Ambedkar."

The student body stated that "universities are meant to encourage research-based learning and open discussion," and alleged that "the material on display did not uphold academic standards".NSUI has appealed for an inquiry into the matter.A separate statement released by Bharatiya Vichar Manch said, "The exhibition showcased documented historical material and was organised as part of the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). "The organisation "condemned the damage to the display" and alleged that "NSUI members used objectionable language while damaging public property."
