VADODARA: Is it time we start getting used to black tea or black coffee? If skyrocketing prices of petrol, vegetables and pulses have completely messed up your monthly budget, be prepared for some more pain.
Now, milk prices are set to go up by Re 1 per litre from Monday. Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) that markets Amul is expected to make an official announcement regarding the hike on Sunday.
It's the sixth time since March 2006 and second time this year that milk prices have been hiked by the co-operative.
Sources in the GCMMF told TOI on Friday that all milk variants Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, Amul Taaza and Amul Slim and Trim will cost Re 1 more per litre across Gujarat.
Sources attributed the price revision to increasing fuel prices and increasing production cost.
Most dairies are expected to adopt the price hike at the earliest.
