Karnavati Club appoints secretary, joint secretary

on Friday appointed new candidates to the posts of

and joint secretary. The decision was taken during the club’s board meeting held on Friday evening, as Rajv Patel, the honorary secretary of the club, had resigned, earlier this month. Ketan Patel, who was the club’s

joint secretary

, was appointed as the honorary secretary.


Silva Patel, who is the chairperson of the Women Empowerment Committee of the Club, was appointed as the joint secretary of the club in place of Ketan Patel. Club sources said she will continue to hold a dual charge for the time being.

During the meeting, the board members also discussed various renovation projects under consideration. The club management has earmarked funds of around Rs 3 crore for renovation of the rooms, children’s park, restaurant and massage centre.

The club had invited applications for new memberships last year. Sources confirmed that some 80% of the applications have been processed. “Most applications have been scrutinized and finalized. Very few are remaining. By April 30, the club will formally make an announcement about the same,” said a top official of the club on condition of anonymity.
