Gujarat University: Out-of-syllabus questions in BCom exam spark chaos

Ahmedabad: Gujarat University came under fire again on Saturday after the BCom Semester-2 NSS exam paper included several questions outside the prescribed syllabus. The error sparked chaos at KK Shastri College in Maninagar, where hundreds of students were taking the exam.

Angry students claimed the questions were unrelated to their syllabus and lodged strong objections with college authorities.The college administration, however, denied responsibility and blamed the university for the error.

Students also alleged that, instead of being given the usual one hour to complete the paper, they were left with barely 20 minutes because of the disruption. They said it was impossible to finish the exam in such a short time, especially with an out-of-syllabus question paper, which further added to the confusion.

Frustrated with the management, many students decided not to take the exam. Later in the day, a large group of students gathered at Gujarat University to stage a protest.
