Gujarat: First batch of students completes UHP semiconductor course at ITI Dholera
Gandhinagar: The first batch of 16 students of the ultra-high purity (UHP) semiconductor welding programme successfully completed the course offered by the Industrial Training Institute, Dholera, recently, while the second batch has commenced, the state govt said on Tuesday. Tata Indian Institute of Skills (TATA IIS) trains the students in collaboration with the state govt and Tata Electronics.
The govt said this is the first initiative in the country where a cleanroom training facility for semiconductors has been set up at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and linked directly to the commercial semiconductor fabs under development. The govt said details of students trained at the ITI facility have been sent to the semiconductor industry.
