He came for lunch at around 2 pm on Friday. When his wife was preparing the meal for him, he went back to his bike in the parking lot and collapsed. It was later discovered that he had consumed poison at his residence. "In the primary investigation, we got to know that he was tense for a couple of days and was getting calls from various people. We are yet to record his statement in the matter. However, primarily, we believe that it must be financial crisis," said a Vejalpur police station official.
In another incident, a 56-year-old man cut his wrist at his residence in Anandnagar. According to Vejalpur police station officials, Bipin Shah, a trader and a resident of Anandnagar, was found unconscious at his residence by his family members around 2.30 pm on Friday. "The family members could not tell us how the incident took place. However, he had cut his vein on the left wrist to end life. He was rushed to the VS Hospital and now he is out of danger.
