Dudhia Anand MP gets bail in fraud case

AHMEDABAD: Anand MP Dipak Patel, who was arrested in June this year for his alleged involvement in the Charotar Nagarik Sahakari Bank fraud case, was granted conditional bail by the Gujarat High Court on Monday.

AHMEDABAD: Anand MP Dipak Patel, who was arrested in June this year for his alleged involvement in the Charotar Nagarik Sahakari Bank fraud case, was granted conditional bail by the Gujarat High Court on Monday.
Justice Jayant Patel granted bail to the MP and his brothers, Bharat Patel and Prashant Patel, who are also accused in the case, on condition that the amount involved in the case would be deposited by the accused within a specified time-frame of nine months.

The time-frame would begin on the day the accused are released on bail.
According to the case filed, the MP along with the other accused had allegedly taken a loan to the tune of Rs 12.5 crore in the name of various companies from the bank, but defaulted in paying back.
