AHMEDABAD: In an effort to draw a line between awareness and panic related to losing weight in today's stressful times, Ahmedabad Times and Asian Surgicentre have organised a seminar on Saturday. The meet on 'Obesity & Type II Diabetes' at GLS Auditorium, will go a long way in enabling the obese or overweight to get back into shape.
Branded as the silent killer, obesity has emerged as a serious health concern among urban Indians.

However, people in that condition need not get hyper about their weight. Latest facilities and machines designed in a scientific manner, have opened different possibilities of weight reduction and control. Panelists Dr Mahendra Narwaria (obesity surgeon), Dr Navneet Shah (physician & endocrinologist), Dr Sudhendu Patel (consultant physician and internist), Dr Shilpa Narwaria (telemedicine consultant), Dr Banshi Saboo (diabetologist & metabolic physician), Smita Shah (dietician), and Dr Zalak Patel (physiotherapist) will discuss treatment techniques of obesity through diet regulations, modifications, incorporation of regular physical activity and lifestyle change.
