Dharmendrasinh’s allround brilliance rescues S’rashtra

Ahmedabad: Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed for three and Saurashtra batters, barring Dharmendrasinh Jadeja and Prerak Mankad, struggled but they still won the Day One honours in their match against Maharashtra in Solapur on Friday. At the stumps, Maharashtra were 116 for seven in reply to Saurashtra’s first-innings total of 202.
Batting first, Saurashtra lost five wickets for 54 before Jadeja (72) and Mankad (56) added 118 runs for the six wickets. But after Mankad’s departure, the innings folded quickly.
