Deepan Bhadran empanelled as IG-level officer at Centre

Gandhinagar: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Sunday approved the empanelment of three Gujarat cadre officers — Deepan Bhadran, Divya Mishra, and Saurabh Tolumbia for appointment to the post of inspector general (IG) or equivalent rank at the Centre. They are among 65 IPS officers from across the country who have been empanelled for the post of IG at the Centre.All three officers of the 2007 batch are presently on central deputation.In 2024, Bhadran, who was posted as DIG in the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad, was granted central deputation and posted in the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Two years ago, Bhadran and his team were awarded the Special Operations Medal for cracking one of the state's largest drug busts.In March 2023, Saurabh Tolumbia was appointed advisor, security, in GAIL India for a period of three years. Divya Mishra was posted in Ahmedabad city and other parts of Gujarat, and her last posting was as Kheda SP, after which she proceeded on central deputation in 2022 as additional deputy director in the Central Intelligence Bureau.
