Cultural tribute to Vasant-Rajab today

AHMEDABAD: Anhad, Prashant and various other NGOs have organised a cultural programme on Saturday as tribute to the memory of Vasant Rao Hegiste and Rajab Ali Lakhani, two friends who sacrificed their lives to save the people in the Jamalpur area from the raging communal flare.
The programme to be held at the Heerak Jayanti hall of Gujarat Vidyapith will feature urban folk singer from Delhi, Susmit Bose, and Lopa Shah, who will recite a poem written by Ashok Chakradhar called Tamasha', and Vinay Verma, who gives a solo performance of Main Rahi Masoom', a biographical sketch of the famous Hindi and Urdu writer, Late Rahi Masoom Raza.
