Congress holds silent protest in support of RG

Ahmedabad: State Congress leaders and workers staged a silent protest outside the Sabarmati Ashram on Wednesday as a mark of solidarity with party leader Rahul Gandhi after the Gujarat high court refused to stay his conviction in a defamation case. Similar protests were organised across the country on Wednesday, a party statement said.
Gujarat Congress president Shaktisinh Gohil, legislative party leader Amit Chavda, Bharatsinh Solanki and Siddharth Patel along with many party workers gathered outside the Sabarmati Ashram for the “maun satyagrah” programme. tnn
