Ahmedabad: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch its campaign for the forthcoming assembly election in Gujarat on April 2 with a roadshow led by party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann. It will culminate in a public meeting.
The ‘Tiranga Gaura Yatra’ will begin from Khodiyar temple in Nikol and end at Sardar Mall in Bapunagar, state AAP leaders said on Monday.
“This will be the launch of AAP’s Gujarat assembly election campaign. It will be a massive show of strength. The party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal will be present along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and other leaders,” AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi said.
He added that another visit by Kejriwal is also being planned. “A number of programmes are being planned over the next few weeks as the party gears up for the assembly election in Gujarat,” Gadhvi said.
