₹94cr spent on developing airstrips in Guj
Ahmedabad: The state government spent Rs 93.74 crore on developing airstrips in 2021 and 2022.
Replying to a question by Vijapur MLA C J Chavda, the state government told the house on Thursday that in the calendar year 2021, the government spent Rs 90 crore, and in 2022, the government spent Rs 3.60 crore.
The work on the Mandvi airstrip has been completed, the assembly was told.

About the Morbi airstrip, the government said that the construction of the boundary wall was going on. According to the reply, the land acquisition for airstrips at Ambaji, Dholavira, Parsoli and Bagodara was going on.
The government further replied that a pre-feasibility study was being carried out for airstrips at Dahej and Palitana. The work for Vanod (Bechraji), Ankleshwar, and Rajpipla airstrips was going on and the work for developing an international airport at Hirasar in Rajkot was also in progress. tnn
