5 held for betting on IPL

AHMEDABAD: A team of city crime branch raided a bungalow in Vastrapur and rounded up five for betting on IPL matches. According to crime branch officials, a team led by sub-inspector C B Chaudhary got information on a betting racket and raided 8/A of Trilok Bungalows near Lad Society in Vastrapur on Sunday evening. Cops found a group taking bets on the match between Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians.
Those arrested include Pradeep Patel, Bhupendra Shah, Navin Rami, Chirag Shah and Vishal Thakkar. Patel owns the bungalow. Police also found 26 mobile phones, three laptops and Rs 40,000 from the spot.
