AGRA: Police arrested two men for making a hoax call to police about disturbance between two communities in

Firozabad

district following the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit on Saturday.

Identified as Shaukin (38) and his brother-in-law Ali Mohammad (28), the two accused were arrested by Rasoolpur police from Lalpur village. Police said Shaukin, who hails from Agra’s Fatehpur Sikri, was visiting his in-law’s house along with his wife and children.

“In a bid to cause sensation, panic and fear, Shaukin and Ali Mohammad made a hoax call to ‘112’ police emergency number in a distressing way, after which a police team led by SP visited the village. They found that the two men were involved in disturbing peace with their nuisance behaviour,” Prabal Pratap Singh, SP city Firozabad said.
