Minor gang-raped in Agra, 2 juveniles detained

Agra: Two juveniles, aged 16-17 years, were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 17-year-old girl three months ago in Agra, police said on Wednesday. The matter surfaced earlier this week after a video of the sexual assault was circulated on social media. As the survivor and the accused belonged to different communities, tension prevailed in the area, prompting heavy police deployment. Agra DCP (West) Aditya said the main accused was a former student of the school where the girl studies. He lured her to a house, gave her spiked cold drink and sexually assaulted her, while his friend recorded the incident on a mobile phone.DCP Aditya said an FIR was registered under relevant sections of BNS, Pocso and the IT Act, and strict action would be taken against those who circulated the video. The officer warned that anyone found forwarding or circulating the clip will face legal action.
