Agra: A joint team of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) busted an international drug syndicate operating out of a rented house in Sikandra, Agra. Four individuals—including a mother-son duo—were arrested on Wednesday night.
The team has seized 1 kg “OG” cannabis, sourced from California in US and valued at ₹1.06 crore, 147 grammes MDMA valued at ₹16 lakh, five mobile phones containing incriminating WhatsApp chats and contact numbers linking to global suppliers.
The arrested individuals include Nanhi Devi, her son Jitendra Prajapati, Prem Kumar Prajapati and Babloo Sharma.
The high-end drugs were procured from a Delhi-based dealer named Kushagra, who is currently believed to be operating out of Thailand. The narcotics were meant for local distribution in Agra and Mathura.
According to police, Nanhi Devi initially sold local cannabis in Vrindavan. The operation expanded internationally through her late son-in-law, Saurabh. Following his death in a road accident last year, Devi and her sons took over the international smuggling route.
All four accused have been booked under the NDPS Act at Sikandra police station, and further investigation is underway.
