Police detained three men in this case but they were later let off.”
Talking to TOI, IG Sujeet Pandey said, “The farmer did not attempt suicide. We have already arrested three accused in this case and will arrest the fourth one soon. I have assured the victim’s family that the case will be solved at the earliest.”
Based on the complaint of Achal, police had booked four men - Rajveer, Ramniwas, Megh Singh and Rakesh Gujjar - under IPC section 302.
“Instead of arresting the accused, the investigating officer A K Singh is now harassing us and accusing my other son (Anil) of Yogesh’s murder. Anil was in Agra at the time of the incident,” he said.
