Families with 3 kids enjoy better health: RSS chief Bhagwat
Agra: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday endorsed a three-child policy and stressed the need for higher birth rates, citing population studies that warn of long-term risks when fertility rates fall below replacement levels."Doctors believe families with three children enjoy better overall health, and this is essential for the welfare of society. Several countries are working to raise their birth rates," Bhagwat said.He urged a review of India's population policy, emphasizing that while legal measures are possible, building public awareness must be the priority. The RSS chief also raised concerns over illegal immigration, urging people to keep a close watch to identify intruders and report them to authorities. People need to ensure immigrants do not receive employment here, Bhagwat added.Calling for an end to forced religious conversions, he said that while govt may enact laws, societal action is essential. Many who adopted other faiths are descendants of Hindus and may wish to return, and those who do should be welcomed, he added. He said the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran is driven by "ego, revenge and self-interest," adding those involved are "harming themselves." These nations are harming themselves. He stated that a new direction should emerge from India, emphasising that material progress alone is insufficient and must be balanced with spirituality.Bhagwat was in Vrindavan to inaugurate the newly built Jeevan Deep Ashram of Mahamandaleshwar Yatindranand Giri in Rukmini Vihar. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and several seers were present at the event.
