Agra: Ex-BSF jawan kills brother over illicit relationship with wife

AGRA: A retired BSF jawan was arrested by Etmadpur police for strangulating his brother to death, as victim was having illicit affair with the accused’s wife.
The arrest was made on Thursday, though the murder occurred on October 13 night and the body was recovered three days later.
According to police, after retirement in July 2011, the accused was informed by his relatives that his brother was having affair with his wife while he was away from home.

Since then, the accused developed hatred for his brother.
“During interrogation, the accused claimed that on the night of October 13, he engaged in a heated argument with his brother after the victim assaulted his teenage daughter, when someone informed him about her relationship with a village boy. The accused tried to calm the victim and protect his daughter, but victim verbally abused the accused and left the home. Few hours later, when the victim returned home in an inebriated state, the accused strangulated him to death and threw his body in a nearby empty plot,” said station house officer Vivek Trivedi of Etmadpur.
The accused was sent to jail by a local court.
