81 absentees awarded marks in practical exam in Agra University

AGRA: In another case of malpractices in Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, an external examiner has awarded marks to candidates who didn’t appear for the practical exams.
A teacher of DAV college Kanpur was appointed by the university administration for practical exams, however, an internal examiner (a teacher of Agra University) raised objection and refused to sign the list of marks awarded to the students.
The University Teachers Association (UTA) has brought the matter to the notice of vice-chancellor Arvind Kumar Dixit and demanded strict action against the teacher.
As per the complaint, on April 19, the varsity appointed an external examiner from DAV College, Kanpur. The teacher reached Vishnu Bhagwan College in Etah to take viva of Mathematics. Without any cross check, he signed a list of marks handed by the college management.
To this the internal examiner, Dr Sunil Yadav, a teacher at Agra College raised objections. The college management allegedly tried to pressurize him, following which the internal examiner left the college without signing the award list and raised the issue.
UTA general secretary Nishant Chauhan said, “The private college in Etah had 103 students eligible to appear for the practical exam, but 81 were absent. However, the college already prepared a list of marks awarded to all the 103 students before the exam was to be conducted.”
