15-year-old girl murdered in Aligarh's Pinjri village

AGRA: A 15-year-old girl was brutally murdered while she had gone to relieve herself in the fields near her house in Village Pinjri, Aligarh, on Monday morning.
According to police, the girl, a class 7th student, was found dead, with her throat slit by a sharp edged weapon, in the fields by her parents. She reportedly left her home at about 5 am and went to the nearby fields to relieve herself.When she did not return home for long, her parents searched for her and found her body in the fields.
When contacted, the girl’s uncle, Subreer Singh, said they have no clue as to what had happened. “We do not have enmity with anyone”, he said claiming that he wasn’t aware of the reasons behind the murder.
However, police sources claim that a possible love affair could be the reason behind the gruesome murder. When contacted, SP (Rural), Aligarh, Sankalp Sharma, refused to comment on the reasons behind the crime on the plea that investigations were on.
He said the fields, where the deceased had gone to ease herself, are barely 50 meters from her house and the her body was found nearby. He said a case of murder has been registered and the victim’s body has been sent for postmortem.
