Agartala: The Jamiat-ulema-e-Hind, Tripura unit on Monday protested against the recent atrocities perpetrated on minorities in Bangladesh following political unrest in the country over a week.
In a statement, president of Jamiat’s Tripura unit Mufti Taibur Rahaman said, “We strongly condemn attacks on minorities, their houses, properties and places of worship in various parts of Bangladesh; even though a section of majority people, including students of ‘Madrasas’ have come out to protect the minorities.”
Rahaman said the new govt in Bangladesh must take all measures to protect and keep honour and dignity of the minorities in the country.
