2 more die in Tripura floods, toll climbs to 26

With two more deaths during rescue operations on Friday, the flood-related death toll in Tripura has climbed to 26, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee. Gomati and South Tripura districts are still grappling with flood severity, even as the flood waters have started receding in other areas, including Agartala. The floods have rendered 1.2 lakh people homeless and affected over 17 lakh people.
