Fun at Flexcar
Mainak Sahakundu, information security manager at Flexcar, along with a few of his colleagues started a badminton group a few months ago to get to know each other well and enjoy the game as a team sport activity. The group now has eight members and is growing every day. “When we play together, it helps promote a ?playing and winning together’ attitude. The club is getting a lot of traction now,” Mainak says. The group plays at a facility close to their office.
Flexcar, the Boston-based car-as-a-service company, started its development centre in Bengaluru about a year ago. Arnab Banerjee, VP of engineering at the India operations, says they plan to do a tournament on foosball and carrom to engage the teams and provide a platform to demonstrate their skills outside of work. “We are also a proud family of guitarists and singers who express themselves in our regular fun events. Soon, we might have our own band,” he says.
