Kajal Agarwal invests in The Ayurveda Co

CHENNAI: Direct-to-customer ayurvedic lifestyle brand The Ayurveda Co (TAC) has raised Rs 100 crore in a Series A funding round from VC fund Sixth Sense Ventures. The round also saw participation of actor Kajal Agarwal, a few startup founders and venture debt funds.

The funds raised will be used to expand offline presence, improve product manufacturing, expand research and development and accelerate digital awareness around Ayurveda and the brand.

"TAC plans to integrate and automate Dosha Consultation-based personalised skin, hair & wellness routines," the company said.

TAC, which has a line-up of skin and hair, health, wellness and baby ayurvedic products, has reported more than 300% growth in the past 10 months driven by a portfolio of 100 SKUs and distributor network across retail and online channels. TAC recently forayed into global markets starting with the Middle East region.
