Hundreds of students from 50 schools across Delhi took part in activities held within their own school campuses, bringing together teenagers eager to test their writing skills and articulate ideas that could shape opinions tomorrow. With prizes at stake, participants arrived with ambition, imagination, and a clear intent to prove their mettle.The competition invited students to respond to select topics through reflective thinking and expressive writing, with the aim of identifying and nurturing emerging literary talent. The programme, titled Ink Your Inspiration, was held recently in partnership with The Times of India and Pilot Pen. Schools from Delhi and neighbouring cities took part, with the initiative designed to encourage children to put pen to paper and give form to their ideas.Hiroki Kisaichi, Managing Director of Pilot Pen India, highlighted that the K&L and TOI School Activation Program has successfully reached 140 schools across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, describing it as an impressive initiative that generated both meaningful impact and strong visibility.Once the topics were revealed, the young writers dove in, letting their imagination take the lead. Some paused briefly, gathering their thoughts before putting pen to paper, while others embraced the challenge immediately, eager to translate their ideas into words. The room buzzed with energy and anticipation as creativity unfolded across pages. “This activity was amazing and brought out my lighter side. It made me realise that I want to write more often,” said Kriti from G. D. Goenka Signature School .“This is a very good activity that brought out the creativity and skills among the students in story writing,” said Priyanshu of The Indian School.“The session inspired students to unlock their thoughts, spark creativity, and express themselves confidently through writing. The initiative truly reinforced the power of words in shaping ideas and imagination,” said Ruchika Sharma, Principal, Pragyan School, Greater Noida said. Six winners from each school across different age groups received certificates and goodies, celebrating their achievements while discovering and showcasing their talent.Writing can be highly beneficial for children, helping them discover their creative voice and shape ideas that could influence tomorrow.
