Global packaging firm eyes eastern India
Kolkata:
“These three categories remain strong and are likely to drive growth for our business. We have seen a spurt in wallet shares from the existing customers in eastern India. During the lockdown, we managed to keep our plants running with a huge demand for sanitisers and other hygiene products. Overnight, we had around 50 brands approaching to us for sanitisation products,” said its MD & CEO Sudhanshu Vats.
The beauty and cosmetics market was affected during the lockdown. “We faced low business in this segment that is gradually returning to the normal mode. Market expansion is our main objective now and while being focused on the growth of personal care segment, we are also firming up to maintain our leadership position in oral care,” said Vats.
The company has acquired Creative Stylo Packs last year. “This acquisition is a push towards an increased play in beauty and cosmetic categories. The quality of our plastic tubes has improved, thus giving us a platform for growth. This transaction will accelerate revenue and EBITDA growth for our company,” said Vats.
Having been flooded with huge demands to manufacture plastic tubes for hand sanitizers and other Covid-related products, the company changed their way of working and brought some innovations in packaging. “Product innovation has opened up new business opportunities for us. We have seen bottom line growth across various segments in the country,” Vats added.
