Dineout's 'Great Indian Restaurant Festival': More restaurants, diners join in
NEW DELHI: Restaurant technology solutions firm Dineout witnessed a phenomenal success this year for its 'Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF)'. The festival, which was spread throughout the month of August 2019, was aimed towards boosting the overall ‘dining out’ culture in India.
Since its re-launch in August this year, the GIRF festival has become even bigger than its previous (third) edition. Where the last edition saw participation from 6,000 restaurants across 11 cities and seated close to 2.5 million diners in February, the fourth edition is turning even bigger with more restaurants and diner joining in.
This edition has already seen over 4 million diners at more than 8,000 eateries across 17 cities where Dineout has its presence.
“The initial idea of introducing GIRF was to bridge the gap between our two key stakeholders – customers and restaurants. We wanted to change the way Indians were dining and also help in growth of the restaurant industry in the long run. Our GIRF is one such festival for which both the diners and restaurants wait throughout the year. The increment in number of diners and partner restaurants in each edition has been the testimony of the festival's success. The 4th edition of GIRF is even grander than its previous editions and a win-win for both the consumers and restaurants.” said Ankit Mehrotra, co-founder & CEO – Dineout.
Additionally, diners got 20 per cent cashback on their restaurant bills using Dineout Pay along with cashbacks from HDFC Bank and bonus from Jet Privilege. Around 73 per cent diners saved more using Dineout Pay.
Vikas Chandak, senior vice-president, Strategic Business & Partnerships, JetPrivilege said, "We have a strong partnership with Dineout and are immensely happy to be part of the Great Indian Food Festival. Our association has garnered immense popularity amongst our members and we have witnessed a remarkable increase in engagement during this period. We look forward to exploring more such collaborations with Dineout in the near future."
