Buy or sell: Stock recommendation by brokers for September 1, 2025

Kotak has upgraded Clean Science to buy from reduce with the target price at Rs 1,370 from Rs 1,380 earlier. Analysts feel the risk-reward ratio is now favourable for the stock. The stock fell over 20% in just a month following the founding family's 24% stake sale, which is now concluded. Analysts now find risk-reward more attractive, considering the company's healthy pipeline of growth projects. They made modest tweaks to estimates based on incremental disclosures.

Nuvama maintained its buy recommendation on Aditya Vision with the target price at Rs 580 from Rs 503 earlier. Analysts said that the company, after building up a large AC inventory in March, faced a weak April-June quarter (Q1FY26). To manage excess stock, AVL halted AC orders after April. The company has a strong OEM support. Doubling of demonstrator incentives and working capital extension have been crucial in clearing inventory. And now the upcoming GST cuts are expected to improve demand next season. Analysts feel with a strong start to central UP expansion, per-store throughput is likely to recover to FY25 levels by FY27.

UBS has a buy rating on TVS Motor with the target price at Rs 3,475. Analysts said the launch of Orbiter, attractive priced and targeting the youth, would strengthen its no 1 EV position. They also feel competition to heat-up in the e2W space with the recent launches.

Motilal Oswal Securities maintained its buy recommendation on Dr Agarwal's Health Care with the target price at Rs 530. Analysts said the proposed merger of Dr Agarwal Eye Hospital and Dr Agarwal Healthcare to drive EPS accretion. The completion of the merger is expected in 12-24 months, subject to approvals. They said on a pro-forma basis, minority interest related to the 28% stake of public shareholding in AEHL will be eliminated.

Investec maintained its sell recommendation on Indigo with the target price at Rs 4,050, a downside of about 29%. Analysts said the stock’s valuations are already pricing in aggressive growth through FY30 while earnings momentum is weakening. They also feel any additional supply could weigh on the stock price.
