Airtel deploys 4G advanced tech

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel has deployed ‘4G Advanced’ technology in Mumbai that will enable faster data speed and better coverage but on a very select set of devices.

The upgradation comes ahead of a commercial launch by Reliance Jio, and Airtel said that it can lead to data speeds of up to 135 mbps. 4G Advanced will combine 2,300 MHz and 1,800 MHz bandwidth capacities to enable better spectrum utilisation and efficiency.
