Accenture India revenue up 13% in FY25
Bengaluru: Accenture India has emerged as a key growth engine for the global IT services major, with its revenue surging 125% to Rs 74,667 crore in the 2024-25 financial year from Rs 33,305 crore in FY21, according to data sourced from intelligence platform Tofler. Net profit during the same period rose 169%, underscoring the scale and profitability of the company’s India operations.On a year-on-year basis, Accenture India’s revenue grew 13% in FY25, while net profit increased 9% to Rs 7,346 crore, signalling sustained momentum in the domestic market. India remains Accenture’s largest talent base, with over 3.5 lakh employees out of its global workforce of about 7.7 lakh.Accenture has a significant portion of its delivery capability based in India and the Philippines, which house the company’s largest and second-largest employee bases, respectively.India is also central to Accenture’s efforts to reshape its workforce around generative AI. The company has identified 12 new data and AI-focused roles, including data architecture, full-stack large language model (LLM) development, industry and function AI value strategy, visualisation science, business intelligence engineering, responsible AI, AI/LLM technology architecture, AI/ML computational science, and AI workforce transformation.
To support this transition, Accenture has set up a Generative AI Academy in India to train employees across these roles, as it seeks to embed AI fluency across its workforce. The company also said it promoted 43,000 employees in India in FY25, marking one of its largest promotion cycles in recent years.Accenture continues to bet heavily on Indian talent and is expected to step up hiring in the country. “We are hiring primarily in India, as we are hiring more in technology. This also addresses our pyramid structure,” Accenture CEO Julie Sweet told analysts during an investor call in 2024.
