How to link your Aadhaar to Idea mobile number

A circular issued by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has instructed all the telecom operators to verify all existing mobile subscribers including Prepaid & Postpaid customer through Aadhaar based e-KYC process on or before March 31, 2018. Earlier, the deadline was February 6, 2018.

Based on this circular, all the telecom operators are sending SMSs to their customer base to link their mobile number to Aadhaar.

1) Visit the nearest Idea center located in your area

2) Carry your Aadhaar card or photo copy of your Aadhaar or simply not your Aadhaar number and your operational Idea mobile number

3) Give the details of your Aadhaar number and mobile number to the Idea store executive

4) The executive will provide a four digit verification code (OTP) on your registered Idea mobile number for re-verification process

5) You need to provide this verification code to Idea store executive

6) Next, the executive will verify your biometrics to match with the Aadhaar number

Once details are validated and verified, your Idea mobile number will be linked to Aadhaar within 24 hours. You will also get a notification on your Idea number regarding the linking of Idea number to Aadhaar.
