Bigg Boss Halla Bol: Karishma and Upen's growing closeness

Kamaal R Khan who is very active on micro blogging site Twitter seems to have already formed an opinion about the latest couple out from Bigg Boss 8 house. The actor-cum-filmmaker-cum-critic posted a tweet about Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel. Taking a dig at the duo his tweet read, "Upen patel can easily bear one month expenses of Karishma Tanna if he will sell off one of his kidney. Good night." [sic] That was not all, as Kamaal also joked about the couple's first Valentine's Day, "It's good that Karishma n Upen have celebrated their first Valentine's Day with a dinner. But who paid the bill? I think Karishma paid." [sic]

While KRK has his own opinion, Upen Patel's Instagram account confirmed that the couple had a great Valentine's night.

Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel attracted a lot of attention with their PDAs while in the Bigg Boss house. So much so, that they even had their very own hashtag #UpMa that had started trending on social networking sites. While both maintained that they were indeed in love, rumours were rife that the affection was only for the cameras. Even the housemates were seen discussing about the couple, speculating if the love was indeed real. However, now that the reality show is over, it remains to be seen as to what would happen of the couple. But it seems that Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has already predicted the future for the couple. In his tweet, KRK writes, "See result of all love stories of Bigg Boss like Sara-Ali, Tanisha-Arman, Rahul-Payal, Gauhar-Kushal so will happen with @karishma_tanna n Upen."

Upen and Karishma's love story is going steady in the Bigg Boss house. However, her relationship with her former boyfriend, Rushabh Choksi seems to have hit a rough patch. Rushabh, who has remained tight-lipped about Upen-Karishma's budding romance has finally opened up about their proximity. Rushabh has posted a series of tweets about Karishma and Upen's closeness. He has even gone ahead and called her disgusting. He tweeted, "All relationships go through a test a bad phase and shit bt der is way to go about things. What KT is doing is disgusting and out right tacky." He further tweeted, "Upen you can have her. I'll get a new and better one lol."

Upen and Karishma's fondness towards each other is not new to the world, but it seems that the alleged couple is now taking their relationship to the next level. Karishma, who is still in two minds about her relationship with Upen, seems to have finally accepted her feelings. Upen and Karishma did something that has raised many eyebrows. In last night's episode Upen and Karishma were seen locking lips when the rest of the housemates were asleep. After the lip-lock, Karishma looked zapped as she realised that the camera's must have captured the moment. But Upen tried to convince her that everything is fine. Karishma, who has been saying that she has a boyfriend outside and she wants sort out her relationship with her boyfriend first, seems to have welcomed Upen into her life.

Upen Patel's intentions have been very clear since the time the handsome hunk has re-entered the Bigg Boss house. His attraction towards Karishma is quite visible on the show and looks like the latter has also started reciprocating to Upen's feelings. Viewers have already seen that Dimpy spilled the beans about Upen-Karishma's love story that the former had proposed Karishma before leaving Bigg Boss 8 house. Sambhavna, who has been keenly noticing all this, tells Karishma, if she was in her place she would have fallen in love with Upen, to which Karishma replies saying that it is still not late, she can try. But Sambhavna tells her that it is of no use now as he is running behind her.

Sambhavna then asks Karishma about her feelings for Upen. Karishma tells her that she hasn't thought about marriage, but will still see what happens when they go outside and see how it goes. However, Upen jokingly tells that he doesn't trust her as she can change her mind at the last minute. So Sambhavna requests Bigg Boss to send two rings inside the house. Gautam interrupts and says that if there is a marriage happening in the house, then they should also have guests. He says we should call Rushabh (Karishma's boyfriend). Karishma gets upset and storms out of the room. She then tells Gautam that it is bad to pass personal comments on anyone and she does not appreciate this. Gautam decides not to react. There are also reports that Upen is a guest and will be part for the show for just a week. Apparently, he will be out of the house this weekend.

While at one end resentment thrives, love has been budding on the other. The walls of Bigg Boss house have been painted red with the rising intimacy between lovebirds Upen and Karishma. But the housemates begin to question the integrity of Karishma, who claims to have a boyfriend outside since Day 1 on the show. Dimpy has been unhappy as she has been feeling betrayed at the hands of her close friend Karishma Tanna. This has led to Dimpy sowing the seeds of hatred against Karishma amongst the housemates with the help of her estranged husband Rahul Mahajan.

With the end of the week comes the responsibility of selecting a worthy leader of the house. Bigg Boss asks the Champions to decide, who amongst them is unworthy to hold the responsibility of captaincy. Since Ali refuses to back down and Sambhavna beseeches for an opportunity to prove her worth on the show, Mahek and Karishma decide to withdraw their names hoping that Pritam can be a worthy contender for captaincy in this week.
The captaincy would be determined by a task called ‘Captain’s Carrom Board’ between Pritam, Ali and Sambhavna. Each contender is required to throw a disc with their name from the starting line towards the captaincy ‘C’ sign on the board. The disc that reaches either on the sign or closest to it will determine the captain for this week. However, it would not be this simple, since the Challengers play a very important role in this task. Each Challenger gets three chances to help their contender. While each contender gets the opportunity to plead their case to the Challengers, the game goes way beyond their control and into the hands of the Challengers. To ensure fair play, Bigg Boss appoints Upen Patel as the mediator for the task.

Since the Challengers won the task – Bigg Boss Ka Call Center, they are rewarded with the luxury budget for this week. But each day is not the same in the house of Bigg Boss and can never be predicted. Bigg Boss announces another surprise for the Challengers, as they get an option to choose between the luxury items for themselves or an opportunity to swap a Challenger for a Champion. After a lengthy debate, Sana is able to convince her co-Challengers to trade places with a Champion. And to avenge her insulting transfer the previous week, Dimpy advocates swapping Sana with Champion Karishma making her vulnerable to evictions for the following week.

The realities of Bigg Boss – Halla Bol can either be a dream for one housemate or it can turn into a nightmare for another. Will Karishma survive Dimpy’s onslaught? And who will emerge as the Captain this week?
