Tata Motors on Wednesday reported an overall sales of 79,705 units in February 2023, registering a growth of 2.5 percent. The company sold 77,733 units during February 2022. Total domestic sales stood at 78,006 units last month as compared to 73,875 units in the same period last year.
Domestic sales of passenger vehicles, including EV in Feb 2023 stood at 42,862 units against 39,981 units in Feb 2022. Tata Motors’ PV IB sales increased to 278 units last month from 200 units in February 2022, witnessing a YoY growth of 39%.
Speaking of the Commercial Vehicles segment, domestic sales of MH&ICV, including trucks and buses, stood at 17,282 units in February 2023 against 14,596 units in Feb 2022. Passenger carriers witnessed a sales growth of 106% with 3,632 sales last month. Total CV domestic sales in Feb 2023 stood at 35,144 units as compared to 33,894 units in the corresponding period previous year, registering a YoY growth of 4%.
Recently, Tata Motors launched its
first Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility, the Re.Wi.Re - Recycle with Respect in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The plant has a capacity of recycling 15,000 vehicles per annum and follows eco-friendly processes for sustainable dismantling of end-of-life vehicles.
