IBW 2025: What’s changed, what’s new and what riders can expect
India Bike Week 2025 is just around the corner, and this year the festival moves to a new location with some new additions to the overall experience. In a recent interaction, the organisers have shared how the 12th edition of IBW marks a fresh chapter for the event.
For the first time, India Bike Week will be held in Panchgani, Maharashtra, shifting from its long-standing venue in Goa. As per the organisers, the hill location brings cooler weather, winding roads and scenic surroundings. While exact attendance numbers were not shared, they expect a healthy turnout. Several major manufacturers such as KTM, Triumph, Hero, Bajaj Pulsar, Aprilia and Harley-Davidson will continue to be present at the event. This year’s edition is also being planned as a more family-friendly event, with activities designed for children.
At the new venue, visitors will be able to take part in hill climbs, mud trails and manufacturer-led test ride zones. Among the key attractions is the Endurance Stunt Show by Pol Tarres, powered by Gulf Syntrac, along with the Wheelie Experience. The event will also feature what the organisers describe as the country’s largest Test Ride Arena, bringing together premium motorcycles from different segments. The IBW 2025 will also host FMSCI-backed racing formats, including hill climbs and flat-track racing.
On the custom side, the IBW Bike Build Off by Jameson Ginger Ale will see three shortlisted builders create custom motorcycles with support of Rs 1.5 lakh each and a Harley-Davidson X440. The completed builds will be revealed during the event.
Music and entertainment will continue to run alongside the riding activities. The event will host performances by artists such as King, Karan Kanchan, Sugga Honey and Antariksh, along with late-evening shows. The Big Trip, presented by Gulf Syntrac, returns in an expanded format, featuring travellers and storytellers from India and abroad. The Big Trip Expo will also be held to help riders plan future journeys. A new addition this year is the Skoda Kodiaq All-Wheel Drive Track, offering visitors a chance to experience off-road driving.
Asked about key highlights, the organisers said Pol Tarres’ stunt show is expected to draw significant interest. Visitors will also get opportunities to interact with overlanders, racers and custom builders, along with seeing new motorcycle launches and unveils. Experiences such as the Pulsar Stunt School and Vida Kids’ Track form part of the overall programme.
Outreach to riders from Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns continues through initiatives such as Chai Pakoda rides and WhatsApp communities across more than 30 cities. According to the organisers, riders from smaller towns now form a significant part of the audience.
