SEOUL: Within the 11 months of service in Switzerland, Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility’s fleet of XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks have collectively exceeded 1 million kilometers of driving.During this time, the fleet has decreased CO2 emissions by over an expected 630 tons, compared to diesel-fueled vehicles. Since hitting Swiss streets last October, the fleet of now 46 hydrogen power module trucks have had the option to arrive at this achievement with the assistance of 25 Swiss organizations in logistics, distribution and supermarket fulfillment.Hyundai shares this achievement with customers that have integrated the world’s first mass-provided heavy-duty fuel cell trucks in their business operations, replacing regular diesel trucks. The fleet of hydrogen-powered trucks expected to grow by 1,600 hydrogen-electric trucks by 2025. Next, Hyundai Motor plans to expand hydrogen fuel cell trucking to the North American market.
