In a new chapter of her cinematic journey, actress Srabanti has turned presenter for the upcoming Bengali film
Daanter Lorai. Marking her debut in this role, Srabanti lends her support to the emotionally resonant tale directed by Biplob Koyal.
Daanter Lorai revolves around Khuku, a spirited young girl from a poverty-stricken village, who finds joy in a local candy named after the film’s title. The heartwarming narrative explores innocence, resilience, and familial bonds in the face of adversity.
Speaking about her association, Srabanti said, “
Daanter Lorai is a very soul-touching movie. When director Biplob Koyal and his team approached me, I first wanted to watch it. After viewing, I felt it’s a well-made film with immense emotional appeal. I wanted this story to reach a wider audience, and I’m proud to present it. This is my first time taking on such a responsibility, and I’m excited to contribute to Bengali cinema beyond acting.”
The soundtrack features songs by Subir Chatterjee, Arijit Kishore Ray, and Parijat Chakrabarty, with lyrics by Dipankar Ghosh and Abhilash Chakraborty. Singers Debopriya Das and Parijat Chakrabarty bring life to the melodies, including the soulful
Raat Pohaile and
Ghumer Desher Rani.
