Watching the upcoming Formula 1 2023 season is all set to get costlier for Indian fans since the motorsport will not be streamed on Star Sports TV channel or Disney HotStar+ OTT platform that it was available to watch last year. Instead, Formula 1 has introduced its own OTT video platform to watch all the action live, called F1 TV.
The F1 TV is available in two different plans - F1 TV Access and F1 TV Pro. While the former will get you live timing data and delayed race replays, the latter is a premium plan which you would need to watch every F1 2023 race live or on demand. The F1 TV Access plan would cost you $19.99 or Rs 1,653 for one year, while the F1 TV Pro is priced at $29.99 for the same period, which converts to about Rs 2,480 in Indian currency. There's also a monthly plan which will cost you $2.99 and $3.99 for the Access and Pro plans respectively.

In comparison, the Disney HotStar+ Super (basic) plan, which was the OTT platform to watch Formula 1 races in 2022, currently costs Rs 899 for a year. This means that watching F1 in India will get 3 times more expensive in 2023 with F1 TV Pro, the exclusive platform to stream all races throughout the season. Moreover, the Disney HotStar+ plan also offered additional services like movies, other live sports, TV, and more, while the F1 TV Pro subscription will limit you to the motorsport series.
Nonetheless, the F1 TV Pro subscription will broadcast all the live action from the race weekends, including practice and qualifying sessions, Sprint races, and of course, the main Grand Prix races. In addition, you get access to live onboard cameras and team radio, watch Formula 1 race replays and highlights, live stream (and replay) F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup, watch exclusive F1 shows, get real time telemetry including live driver maps.
Do note that the final price of the F1 TV OTT subscription might vary slightly as per your bank's latest conversion rate. The F1 2023 season starts this weekend at Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled from March 3 - 5.
