Kawasaki W800 Street, retro-themed roadster, launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

Kawasaki announced the launch of W800 Street in India on Friday, starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The retro-themed motorcycle would be available in metallic flat spark black/metallic matte graphite grey. The bookings have started and Kawasaki said deliveries of the motorcycle would begin by mid-August.

NEW DELHI: Kawasaki announced the launch of W800 Street in India on Friday, starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The retro-themed motorcycle would be available in metallic flat spark black/metallic matte graphite grey.
The bookings have started and Kawasaki told the deliveries of motorcycle would begin by mid-August.
Engine and built features of 2020 W800 Street:
* Iconic W1 inspired styling
* 773cc air-cooled, vertical twin engine
* Power: 52 PS at 6,500 rpm; Torque: 62.9 Nm at 4,900 rpm
* Crafted exhaust note emphasising 360ยบ crankshaft
* Kawasaki advanced dynamic analysis designed frame
* 5-way adjustable clutch lever, 4-way adjustable brake lever
* Assist & slipper clutch
* Large diameter front fork, dual rear shock absorber
* 320mm front disc, 270mm rear disc brakes
W1 was the largest-displacement Japanese model during its time, and played a major part in establishing the image of Kawasaki as a manufacturer of large-displacement motorcycles, and is the foundation of W series.
The W series made its presence in the Kawasaki family, and inspired the birth of the legendary machines such as the Kawasaki Z1 and Ninja H2 sportbikes.
