Thursday launched the all-new version of its M2 Competition model priced at Rs 79.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

is available in petrol variant as a completely built-up (CBU) model at all the BMW dealerships across India with immediate effect,

said in a statement.

The luxury sedan is available in five colours namely, Alpine White, Sunset Orange, Hockenheim Silver, Long Beach Blue and Black Sapphire.




The car is powered by a three-litre six-cylinder petrol engine and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph, it added.

BMW India said its parent in Germany has elevated the benchmark in the compact high-performance sports car segment.

The all-new BMW M2 Competition offers full everyday usability while captivating its racing flair, it added.

In terms of design, the M2 Competition gets enlarged air inlets, high-gloss black kidney grille, a coupe silhouette, four exhaust pipes and a muscularly sculpted rear.

The cabin features BMW's iDrive controller, a seven-speaker system with a 6.5-inch colour screen, front and rear parking sensors and a reverse camera.

There are three drive modes on offer with the M2 Competition – Comfort, Sport and Sport+ where each mode alters the car's ride and handling characteristics

In India, the BMW M2 Competition rivals the likes of

Porsche

718 Cayman and the Mercedes-Benz CLA AMG 45.
