Aston Martin launches New Vantage in India at Rs 2.95 crore

, the British luxury car maker, on Tuesday launched its most affordable sports car the

New Vantage

, a complete overhaul of its 2005 model, at Rs 2.95 crore, ex showroom in Mumbai which should cost around Rs 3.25 crore on road. The car is being positioned as an everyday sports vehicle for young and rich automobile enthusiasts, officials at

Infinity Cars

, the dealers for the luxury car maker for western and southern India said.


Powered by 4-litre, 503BHP twin turbo V8 engine, the car can attain a speed of 100 kilometers per hour within 3.6 seconds. "We are targeting to sell about 15-20 New Vantage cars in 2019," Lalit Choudary, CMD, Infinity Cars said.

The New Vantage has been positioned competitively between the entry level

sports cars

and the more expensive ones, Choudary said. "The New Vantage has been designed for drivers of all abilities without compromising on its driving dynamics. This coupled with its increased ground clearance makes it a great choice as a daily commuter, as well as a thoroughbred track day weapon for the enthusiasts," he said.

"Besides car connoisseurs and purists, we are positive that young and successful entrepreneurs and businesswomen will be interested with its bold design which makes it stand out," Choudary said.
